Twig Saints and icons
Wanting to flip my perspective from a human to a plant perspective, I imagined how a plant, if it could, would see the world. If a plant could make a painting, what would it see? What would be a cause for celebration? What would they admire? My Irish Roman Catholic upbringing exposed me to medieval stained glass and paintings of saints. As twigs are the most unassuming part of nature, I propose that their celebrities would be humble saints of nature.
